Propandiol is a colourless, odourless, hygroscopic liquid with good dissolving properties. Propandiol is a food additive, approved with the number E 1520. Propandiol is used in toothpaste, skin creams, asthma spray, ointments etc.... and is a component of tobacco cigarettes and shisha tobaccos. It is also used in air humidifiers and fog machines. When consumed in the amounts approved, Propandiol is not harmful.
